EMC continues to move down market with the looming acquisition of Iomega, as I have mentioned there is no doubt that EMC is very focused on capturing data at the edge in the SOHO and enterprise market. The Iomega news comes fresh off the acquisition of Pi and the announcement of a cloud computing initiative.

I still fondly remember the days of the Zip drive (I still have a stack of 100MB disks). The only way to really back you computer before CD burners became the standard.
I guess EMC is trying to get more into the “Best Buy” market as well. It’s interesting how Iomega bundles EMC Retrospect with their products already.
